2014 Black Tie and Blue Jean Extravaganza Results

Thank you for supporting The Bellin Health Foundation’s 9th annual Black Tie and Blue Jean Extravaganza!

Some of the this year’s exciting features included a “Beatles Invasion of America" theme, with a  personal tour of the new layout, iPad table navigation, complimentary photograph by Accent Photography by Kim with all four Beatles, listening to “Beatles” era tunes from Daddy D Productions, sampling the delicious wines by Beau Joubert Vineyard, the gourmet cheeses by BelGioioso Cheese, and the fabulous chocolates by Beerntsen’s Chocolates, as well as savor Runaway Spoon’s British-inspired cuisine and desserts. Guests also indulged in a martini from the ice luge, they took in the feel of London designed by Seize the Day Events and Ebb and Flow Floral Design Studio, they could buy tickets for a chance to win the raffles and of course, bid on the many wonderful silent and live auction items. What an exciting evening!

The success of the event was attributed to the participation of over 331 guests, the sale of 60 silent auction baskets/experiences, 9 super-silent auction items and 13 live auction items, the raffle of a David Yurman bracelet from Rummeles Jewelers and a soda/beer-a-mid from Triangle Distributing! We had the generous support of many silent and live auction donors, 13 generous major sponsors as well as 38 corporate table sponsors, 2 raffle sponsors and 4 media sponsors. We also benefitted from generous discounts and outright donations by our supportive vendors.

The event raised over $105,000 for the Bellin Psychiatric Center Adolescent/Child Unit which will provide a more comfortable and healing environment to children and youth ages 5-18 to help them cope with being victims of abuse, neglect, bullying and more.

Many thanks to the entire planning committee and especially, this year’s Chairperson, Katie Hess, and our Production Chair, Peggy George, both from Seize the Day Events.
