Employee Sharing Program

Employee Sharing Program

Thank you Staff, Volunteers, and Retirees on a successful 2008 Employee Sharing Program raising over $110,000.

Earlier this year, The Bellin Foundation invited team members, volunteers and retired staff to celebrate 100 years of Bellin Health by supporting the legacy of Dr. Julius Bellin through the Employee Sharing Program.

Through their generosity, more than $110,000 was raised through the 2008 Employee Sharing Program. These contributions represent more than three times the amount given during the last campaign.

Distribution of the contributions will be focused on five scholarships, a new fund to assist employees, and supporting the health system's most pressing objectives. Donors were able to choose the scholarship or purpose for their gift.

The scholarships include two nursing scholarships, two school of radiology scholarships and a culinary arts scholarship. In addition, an Employee Assistance Fund was established in the name of Robert Fry, who retired in 2007 after 33 years with Bellin Health.

Donors could also choose an option that allows their contributions to be used in areas with the greatest need within the health system, in order to enhance the Bellin experience for patients and help improve the workplace environment for staff members.

In its third year, the program has raised more than $201,000, entirely through employee, retiree and volunteer gifts.
