The Foundation exists solely to support the Oconto Hospital & Medical Center. The Foundation is the vehicle through which gifts and bequests of cash, land, stocks, life insurance, etc., may be donated. The Citizens’ Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization giving you the satisfaction of realizing your philanthropic wishes, while benefiting from tax advantages.
The Citizens’ Foundation is a 50/50 partner with Bellin Health in the ownership of the Oconto Hospital & Medical Center. The Citizens’ Foundation is designed to secure long-range financial stability and establish hospital board governance through the people of Oconto. This partnership arrangement ensures that 50% ownership of the hospital will remain local. Local governance assures decision-making that best serves the interests of Oconto.
