Sedation

Many times children have special needs when they undergo long or difficult procedures. Sometimes they may be required to lie perfectly still. That’s why we offer a special sedation program to make the procedure more comfortable. Your physician can request this team in order to minimize discomfort.

Surgery

When a condition affecting your child requires surgery, we make the process smooth and comfortable for your child and your family. Should you need a specialist, Bellin has a number of pediatric specialists available through our partnerships with local specialists and specialists from Children’s Hospital of Milwaukee, an offering unique in the community.

They include:

  • ENT
  • Orthopedics
  • Cardiology
  • Gastroenterology
  • Oncology
  • Urological
  • Coblation tonsillectomy
    • This less invasive procedure allows for quicker recovery time and less pain

If needed, your child’s Primary Care Physician can make the referral.

Diabetes

Our diabetes services team specializes in diabetes care to help children and teens and their families manage this disease to live normal, healthy lives. Contact your primary care physician for a referral.

Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation

Our Pediatric Rehabilitation Unit offers physical, occupational and speech therapy for children ages birth through 18 who have physical challenges due to illness, injury, surgery or congenital defects. We take a team approach between the physicians and therapists to create and execute a rehabilitation plan.

Gastroenterology

For expert care of pediatric digestive tract disorders, Bellin Health has formed a partnership with Children’s Hospital of Milwaukee unique in the community. This allows for easy access to area specialists who treat such conditions as inflammatory bowel disease, gastroesophageal reflux and interventional endoscopy.
