Nia Playshop…No Work Involved!

Join Barbara Wesson, Nia Technique Black Belt instructor, for a two hour journey through movement that is restorative, relaxing and refreshing. An alternative to high impact aerobics, Nia invites you to seek pleasure, defined as a sensation of JOY in the body. Barbara has taught Nia since 1997 and has adapted the Nia practice for people recovering from cancer, stroke, other physical/mental traumas, as well as the developmentally disabled population. As model of inspiration, Barbara infuses everything she does with a sense of Joy and the hope of renewal. Bring your willingness to explore and sense play, Barbara will provide you movement tools you can take with you as you continue your dance through life.

Pilates for Golf

Both Pilates and golf are mind]body activities that share some of the same basic principles. Golf swing principles are fluid motion, precision, accuracy, and power, whereas Pilates focuses on control, concentration, centering, precision, flow of motion, and proper breathing. This workshop will show you how to build strength and flexibility simultaneously, develop core strength, improve posture alignment, and create stability…all the elements needed for a great swing.
