Possible Physical Therapy modalities In order to receive treatment, a prescription is required from your physician. Your physician may want to see you prior to referring you for orthotics. Many insurance companies will pay for custom orthotics. Medicare typically does not pay for custom orthotics. It is suggested that you contact your insurance company regarding coverage for custom orthotics.
