Seven-week program begins April 29
GREEN BAY — Runners and racers looking to improve their performance during the 33rd annual Bellin Run road race or just pick up some new training tips have a tool to aid their preparation.
The Run a Better Bellin class, beginning Wednesday, April 29, offers participants customized training tailored to meet their individual needs. The program lasts seven weeks. It’s held Wednesdays, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bellin Health’s Green Bay Health & Athletic Performance Center, 1630 Commanche Ave. The cost is $40.
“Running the Bellin is a great, yet attainable challenge for our runners, walkers and wheelchair participants,” said Phil Turnbull, a licensed athletic trainer at Bellin Health Sports Medicine. “It fills most people with a great sense of accomplishment regardless of their time, speed or whether they walk it or run it. The Run a Better Bellin class will help interested participants enhance their Bellin Run experience.”
The class focuses on the needs of runners and racers but all classroom instruction is beneficial for runners and walkers. The class includes: videotaped running form analysis; a customized training program; log book; training T-shirt; and a class social.
