GREEN BAY — Bellin Run participants looking to leave their kids in the hands of day care professionals typically stationed at the soon-to-be-relocated Bellin College will have to drop them off a little further away this year.
Long time partner, Encompass Early Education and Care, Inc., will now provide free race day childcare for children ages 6 months to 11 years at its downtown Green Bay facility at 500 Pine St.
The move comes as Bellin College begins planning for its anticipated move to its new facility at 3201 Eaton Road in Bellevue and Bellin Run organizers make logistical changes to accommodate the expected growth at this year’s 33rd annual Bellin Run. The 10K (6.2-mile) event will take place at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 13.
“Parents and guardians will still get the quality childcare service they’ve been accustomed to receiving on race day. It’s just going to be offered at another location,” said race director Randy Van Straten.
Race day childcare hours are 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Space is limited. Registration for childcare closes at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 5. The service is provided free to registered run participants, however, a charitable contribution to Encompass is welcome.
