Free seminar to address joint pain in active adults

OCONTO — Dr. Will Enright of Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists of Green Bay, a Bellin Health partner, will hold a free joint pain seminar on Thursday, Nov. 5.

The event will be held from 6-7 p.m. at the Bond Community Center, 1201 Park Ave., Oconto. It has been designed to assist those active adults who suffer from joint pain associated with exercise, injury or just everyday living.

“The first step in relieving the pain is to understand the cause and possible options for treatment,” Enright said. “We encourage all joint pain sufferers to come visit us on November 5 and learn how to better enjoy an active and healthier lifestyle.”

Joint pain is discomfort arising from any joint in the body. It is often referred to as arthritis or arthralgia. Such pain ranges in intensity from mild to severe.

Joint pain can be caused by injury to any of the ligaments, bursae, or tendons around the joint. Injury can also distress ligaments, bones and cartilage within the joint.

Registration is required to attend the November 5 event. Please call (920) 834-5585 for registration information.
