DE PERE — Area children and their parents are encouraged to attend a free bike safety event from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 27.
The event is scheduled to take place at Bellin Health Family Medical Center-West De Pere, 1800 Lawrence Drive. It will teach children to bike safely on the streets this summer.
Some of the event’s features include a ride through the Bike Rodeo, Buckle Bear, the Crash Test Dummies and Click-it the Cricket. Children also can study emergency preparedness information, examine De Pere’s emergency vehicles, fatal vision goggles and much more. Bike helmets are available for the first 75 children. Register by June 22 to be eligible for a bike helmet.
Members of the Bayshore Bicycle Club will be on hand to perform bike checks.
