Bellin Health offers free vein screening Jan. 27

GREEN BAY — Surgery Specialists of Green Bay, a Bellin Health partner, will host a free event designed to aid people with varicose and spider vein concerns.

The free, one-on-one screening, will take place from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Dr. Marcelo Grazziotin of Surgery Specialists will evaluate painful or unsightly varicose or spider veins and suggest treatment options. Grazziotin is a board-certified vascular surgeon.

Grazziotin will see all vein screening participants at his Surgery Specialists office, 720 S. Van Buren St., Suite 202, Green Bay.

“We will give participants the individualized information they need to help determine their specific vein health issues,” he said.

Varicose veins – twisted, bulging veins – affect up to 15 percent of men and up to 25 percent of women in the United States.

Symptoms of varicose veins include: pain, fatigue, itching, swelling and throbbing.

Spider veins are small, superficial blood vessels that usually look like spider webs. They appear as small clusters of red, purple or blue veins.

Registration for the one-on-one screening is required. Please call (920) 445-7363 or (888) 758-7373 for more information.
