Cancer survivors to celebrate life at Tall Ship Festival

GREEN BAY — A group that has successfully survived cancer will be celebrated Saturday evening near the visiting tall ship Unicorn.
The cancer survivor gathering, scheduled to take place from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., is part of this weekend’s Baylake Bank Tall Ship Festival. Survivors and their family members and friends – about 300 people in all – will enjoy an ice cream social, tour the Unicorn and visit with physicians and staff from The Cancer Team at Bellin Health, Bellin’s oncology center.
A drawing earlier this month gave 20 cancer survivors the opportunity to embark on a tour of the bay Saturday aboard the tall ship Denis Sullivan.
About 75,000 people are expected to attend this weekend’s Tall Ship Festival. Bellin Health is a sponsor of the festival.
