GREEN BAY — Kelly Eells, an advanced practice nurse practitioner at Bellin Health partner Neurology Consultants of Northeast Wisconsin, recently passed her International Multiple Sclerosis Certification Exam.
The examination – administered in November by the Multiple Sclerosis Nursing International Certification Board – tests knowledge, skills and tasks related to multiple sclerosis nursing including clinical practice, advocacy, research and education.
This internationally recognized certification is an acknowledgement of expertise in the nursing care of people with multiple sclerosis and their families.
Eells is busy putting her new certification to use. She recently was a guest on Bellin’s Healthy View talk show where she discussed multiple sclerosis, its causes and its current and potential treatments. The Bellin-produced show airs on Time Warner Cable.
She will host a free Multiple Sclerosis Education series starting January 21, offering an overview of the disease. The series is from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Bellin Administrative Building, 2020 S. Webster Ave., Green Bay.
For more information about the education series, or to make an appointment, please call Neurology Consultants of Northeast Wisconsin at (920) 430-7100, Ext. 201. Neurology Consultants is at 720 S. Van Buren St., Suite 201, Green Bay.
