Harkness joins Bellin Health’s Wrightstown clinic


WRIGHTSTOWN — Dr. Barb Harkness recently joined Bellin Health Family Medical Center-Wrightstown.

Harkness, a board-certified family medicine physician, has special interest in hyperbaric medicine, wound healing, orthopedics, occupation medicine and urgent care, among other specialty areas.

Harkness offers preventative care and wellness and primary care for all ages.

She cared for patients as a nurse for 11 years before attending medical school and cared for personnel in the Air National Guard for 35 years.

Originally from Oshkosh, Harkness attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and completed her general surgery internship at St. Joseph Hospital, Milwaukee. Her family medicine residency training was completed at St. Luke’s Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital, also in Milwaukee.

Harkness is married. She enjoys gardening, sports, reading, collecting art, traveling, physical fitness, and animals. She spends her free time with family.
