Emergency Services
Bellin’s Emergency Department is a Level III facility and is staffed by experienced emergency medicine physicians and personnel trained in triage and care. It features 16 patient rooms and state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment equipment. All patients will be coded as “emergency” for billing purposes.
Features of the 32,448 square-foot Emergency Services Pavilion include:

Expanded KidCare Emergency Services, staffed by pediatricians

6-bed observation unit with private rooms

Diagnostic suite that includes Wisconsin’s only 320-slice CT scanner, the Aquilion One

64-slice CT services including Cardiac Calcium Scoring

Enlarged ambulance bays offering easier access for emergency vehicles

Family lounge and counseling area

Centralized nurse’s station

Emergency medical services personnel lounge

Immediate nurse triage upon arrival

A designated Chest Pain Center, supported by complete cardiac services including diagnostic and surgery

Stroke-Certified Center, supported by diagnostic testing and intervention

All registered nurses are PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certified

Serviced by all area ambulances (ask to be taken to Bellin) and Eagle III (www.eagle3.org) helicopter
