Course Description: This three-day course will cover the psychologically informed, comprehensive management of shoulder pain in the physical therapy setting from initial evaluation to discharge. It will include the most current evidence for screening, taking a subjective exam, performing an objective exam, choosing safe and effective treatment, and prescribing a home exercise program. The course will cover topics related to diagnosing patients with shoulder pain, pattern recognition, and an introduction to pain science with an emphasis on the Maitland approach.
