Department: Radiation Oncology
Location: Bellin Health Cancer TEAM
Schedule: Full-time (32 hours/week) - Days (Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm)
Responsible and accountable for providing quality professional nursing care to patients and their families and significant others adhering to the WI Nurse Practice Act, Administrative Code of the WI Board of Nursing, and/or appropriate nursing standards governing nursing in the state of practice, the ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and Bellin Health Policies and Procedures. The responsibility includes providing a safe environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors and working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary health care team to provide the best outcomes for the patient. Community involvement and collaboration is encouraged.
Responsible for addressing the psychosocial needs of patients by utilizing consultative services, psychosocial assessment, and comprehensive intervention plans. Coordinates the treatment planning process for patients in the pre-, intra-, and post- care settings, as feasible; coordinates follow up services post discharge; collaborates with other members of the treatment team to assure the continuum of care.
WI RN license or WI Social Worker license required. If RN, BSN is required within five years of date of hire. Certification encouraged in job specialty.
Experience with assessment, planning, implementation is required.
