BEAM

“A fusion of arts and medicine designed to transform our healthcare experience by supporting an inclusive, new approach to wellness and healing; caring for the whole person ~ mind, body, and soul”.

Bellin’s Expressive Arts in Medicine (BEAM) Program was designed and created to impact the Bellin Health experience by connecting people within our community to the power of the arts at significant and key moments in their lives.

Believing that the creative arts promote an environment of healing and help build a bridge to recovery: BEAM is striving to bring the expressive arts, in several capacities, throughout the Bellin Health System. Integrating expressive arts programming into a healthcare system is beneficial because it supports positive interpersonal connections between patients and their caregivers and promotes a more comprehensive healing modality overall.

BEAM presents live musical and dance performances, supplies art materials for a variety of interactive art-making projects, supports learning through coordination of musical and creative-arts-based workshops, and collaborates with local community to engage a growing number of patient care areas and environments. BEAM’s glowing spirit can be discovered at Bellin Cancer Team and the Inpatient Rehabilitation Department, Bellin Hospital Green Bay, Marinette and Oconto Oncology and Altrusa House.

BEAM is an innovative and new arts program for Bellin Health and we are proud to be the pioneers of this nationally recognized Arts in Healthcare movement in our region of Northeast Wisconsin. Largely volunteer driven and self-funded, your generous donation will enable us to grow and sustain BEAM programming for our patients, families and staff members today, while also supporting the arts in our community into the future.
