Knowledge is power and awareness is key. Mass violence events are all too common, leading our kids to ask tough questions. “Will it happen here?” “Why did he/she do that?” As parents, teachers and community members, we’re asking the same things — and there are no easy answers.
Bellin Health mental health therapist Mitch Connell has teamed up with police officer Jedd Bradley of Mighty Oak Active Shooter Solutions to answer these difficult questions. In an open, relaxed setting, they’ll provide age-appropriate suggestions on addressing these topics with your kids.
