Stroke Support Group Bowling Event is Feb. 17
Bellin Health’s Stroke Support Group will host a bowling event from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17 at Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley, 2929 Allied St.
Stroke survivors, caregivers and family members are invited for this enjoyable gathering, said Bellin Health Neuroscience Coordinator Kathy Polum.
“A stroke can be a socially isolating event, and it’s not uncommon for stroke survivors to experience depression,” Polum said. “Planned events like these help stroke survivors and their loved ones connect with others who are facing similar challenges — and have fun doing it! It’s also a great way to raise awareness of stroke and stroke prevention.”
Each bowling game will cost $2.25, which includes shoes. The bowling alley is wheelchair accessible.
Individuals need not be Bellin patients to attend the event. Prospective attendees are asked to RSVP by Feb. 1 to Debra Sanchez at (920) 433-7977 or [email protected]. Any questions may also be directed to Sanchez.
