Bellin for Women members are invited to gain valuable health and wellbeing insights while having a great time during the following February events in the Green Bay area:
How to Make Goals That Stick!
5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, Time for Décor, 2304 Lineville Road, Suamico
$10
The dawn of a New Year is a great motivator, but the inspiration to make meaningful change tends to fizzle quickly as the weeks go by. Still, achieving optimum health, happiness and personal growth is easier than many people think — and it can even be fun! Mental health therapist Pamela Baranczyk will lead this fun and relaxing event that’s all about setting and achieving realistic goals. Attendees will gather at Time for Décor to paint a set of motivational-themed coasters while they discuss their goals and challenges.
Heart Smart
5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12 The Oilerie, 2300 Lineville Road #106, Suamico
FREE
Heart Smart – it may sound like a label on a box of Cheerios, but really it’s about knowing how to care for one’s heart. Thirty-five percent of people surveyed by the American Heart Association say they’re in good health when it comes to seven key factors — but in reality, only about half of 1 percent hit all the
targets for good health. Bellin Nurse Practitioner Katy Warren will help attendees find their “Heart Smart IQ” during this fun and informative event, which will also include taste-testing of heart-healthy olive oils and a discussion of healthy and delicious ingredient swaps.
Fad or Fab
5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, Festival Foods North, 2430 University Ave., Green Bay
FREE
Paleo. Keto. Atkins. DASH. Raw Foods. The glut of diet options can be overwhelming. Millions of people go on diets each year, and yet two-thirds of adults are overweight or obese. During this informative workshop, Bellin nutritionist Emily Abegglen will discuss the pros and cons of trendy diets while learning about simple ingredient swaps to make dishes healthier — but no less delicious.
“These fun and educational events focus on relevant topics that make a real difference in women’s lives,” said Megan Lehmann, Bellin Health Event and Community Outreach Specialist. “Come solo or grab your mom, sister or best friend for an enjoyable evening of health, wellbeing and a relaxing good time.”
Event registration is required, and individuals must be Bellin for Women members to attend. Registration is available online at bellin.org/calendar or by calling (920) 445-7373 or (888) 758-7373. Bellin for Women membership is free at bellinforwomen.com.
