Bellin for Women Event to Address Mass Violence

Session features expert advice on talking to kids about all-too-common phenomenon

MARINETTE — Bellin for Women members and the general public are invited to a free event that focuses on talking to children about the delicate subject of mass violence in our society.

“How to Address Mass Violence” will take place from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 in the auditorium at Marinette High School, 2135 Pierce Ave., Marinette.

During the event, Bellin mental health therapist Mitch Connell and police officer Jedd Bradley of Mighty Oak Active Shooter Solutions will talk about how parents can provide age-appropriate answers to tough questions like “Why did he/she do that?” and “Will it happen here?” in an open, relaxed setting.

Event registration is required. Registration is available online at www.bellin.org/calendar or by calling (920) 445-7373 or (888) 758-7373. Bellin for Women membership is free at www.BellinForWomen.com.
