Bellin for Women to Host Marinette ‘Serene Heart’ Event

Expert talk to be followed by stress-busting water yoga workout

Bellin for Women members will learn to combat the negative effects of stress on the heart during an informative, relaxing and movement-filled event Tuesday, Feb. 26 at River Cities Pool, 1125 University Drive, Marinette.

The “Serene Heart” session will feature local Bellin Health providers Olena Wiedemeier, NP, and Dr. Karen Eldevick talking about the negative effects of stress on the heart. Attendees will learn what they can do to lower stress and anxiety before hitting the pool for a great water yoga workout. Research suggests that yoga’s combination of stretching and muscle activity, deep controlled breathing and meditation may provide special heart health benefits and offer distinct advantages for individuals with cardiovascular disease.

Event registration is required, and individuals must be Bellin for Women members to attend. Registration is available online at www.bellin.org/calendar or by calling (920) 445-7373 or (888) 758-7373. Bellin for Women membership is free at www.BellinForWomen.com.
