Cardiologist to lead walks to improve patient, community health
Dr. Rahul Verma of Bellin Health Cardiology Associates is walking his talk with “Lambeau Lap,” a free grassroots community walking program that begins May 1.
All are welcome for weekly Wednesday morning walks that begin at 6:45 a.m. at Bellin Health Titletown Sports Medicine & Orthopedics, 1970 S. Ridge Road. Dr. Verma will lead participants on a 1.4-mile walk in the area of Lambeau Field. For the first two events, May 1 and 8, participants are invited to gather at 6:30 a.m. for voluntarily weight and blood pressure pre-screening at the Titletown clinic.
“Walking is one of the single best things you can do to improve your health, and all you need is a pair of shoes and a little motivation,” Verma said. “This group provides that impetus in a fun, easygoing setting that will motivate participants to make movement a part of their daily lives.”
Coffee, water and light snacks will be provided for walkers. Individuals do not need to be Bellin patients to participate.
Registration for Lambeau Lap is preferred at bellin.org/lambeaulap.
