Stroke Support Group Bowling Event is Feb. 16
Stroke survivors and caregivers are invited to join the fun during Bellin Health’s Stroke Support Group bowling event, from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16 at the Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley, 2929 Allied St.
This enjoyable gathering encourages physical activity and socialization while fostering connections among those who have been affected by stroke, said Bellin Health Stroke Support Group Coordinator Debra Sanchez.
“Survivors often experience isolation, and even depression, after their stroke,” Sanchez said. “Events like this one give survivors and their loved ones an opportunity to connect with others who are facing similar challenges, realize what they can do — and have some fun along the way!”
Games are $2.50 each, which includes shoes. Food and drink will be available for purchase. The bowling alley is wheelchair accessible.
Because February is heart month, attendees are asked to wear red to encourage awareness of heart disease.
Individuals need not be Bellin patients to attend the event. Please RSVP by Feb. 11 to Debra Sanchez at (920) 433-7977 or [email protected]. Any questions may also be directed to Sanchez.
