‘Lambeau Lap’ Walks Return July 1
Bellin cardiologist resumes weekly events to improve patient, community health
Dr. Rahul Verma of Bellin Health Cardiology Associates is once again walking his talk with “Lambeau Lap,” a free grassroots community walking program that resumes July 1.
All are welcome for weekly Wednesday morning walks that begin at 6:45 a.m. at Bellin Health Titletown Sports Medicine & Orthopedics, 1970 S. Ridge Road. Dr. Verma will lead participants on a 1.4-mile walk in the area of Lambeau Field.
The goal is simple: to encourage movement and improve heart health for patients and community alike. All are welcome to walk – you don’t have to be a Bellin patient to attend.
“Walking is one of the single best things you can do to improve your health, and all you need is a pair of shoes and a little motivation,” Verma said. “This group provides that impetus in a fun, easygoing setting that will motivate participants to make movement a part of their daily lives.”
Program modifications have been made to assure participant safety:
• Walkers will meet outside of the Titletown Clinic
• Participants will be asked to keep six feet of social distance between walkers
• Masks are required
• There will be no refreshments after the walks
Lambeau Lap participants are asked to preregister at bellin.org/lambeaulap.
