Bellin Health Offers Array of Flu Clinic Options
Vaccination more important than ever due to COVID-19
Bellin Health is increasing and improving its flu clinic offerings for 2020, including adding drive-up options, as officials reiterate the importance of influenza vaccination amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
An array of clinics throughout Northeastern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan will begin Saturday and run through Nov. 16 (click here to view a full schedule). Patients and non-patients who would like to schedule a flu shot are asked to call their preferred clinic to schedule, or sign up for a time via the MyBellinHealth patient portal. Preregistration is required.
Getting vaccinated against influenza is more important than ever this year as the COVID-19 virus continues to circulate in our communities. Individuals can contract COVID and the flu simultaneously, and the similarity of symptoms can make it difficult to distinguish one from the other absent a diagnostic test. Although COVID is making headlines, the flu can be very dangerous and even fatal. Getting vaccinated can protect the patient as well as those around him or her, including babies under the age of 6 months and others who cannot get the flu shot.
Bellin Health has added drive-up options and extended flu clinic hours to make it easy and convenient for community members to get vaccinated. In addition to clinics and primary care scheduling, walk-in flu shots are available during regular business hours at Bellin’s Urgent Care and FastCare locations. Flu information and a complete schedule of flu clinic offerings is available at bellinflufacts.org.
