Bellin Health Offers Quick and Easy Flu Vaccinations
Vaccination is more important than ever as experts anticipate a severe flu season
Bellin Health continues to increase and expand its offerings for 2022 flu vaccinations, which include convenient drive-thru and walk-in options, as officials anticipate a severe flu season.
An array of clinics throughout Northeast Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan will begin Thursday, Sept. 15 and run through Friday, Dec. 16 (click here to view a full schedule). Patients and community members who would like to schedule a flu shot are asked to call their preferred clinic to schedule or sign up for a time via the MyBellinHealth patient portal. Preregistration is required for clinic sites, while Urgent Care and FastCare locations accept walk-ins.
Getting vaccinated against influenza is more important than ever. Somewhere between five and 20 percent of the country’s population gets the flu every year, which amounts to millions of cases. The misery of having the flu persists for days and some symptoms can go on for weeks. The flu also weakens the immune system, which can lead to secondary infections and additional complications.
Bellin Health’s offerings include drive-up options and extended flu clinic hours to make it easy for community members to get vaccinated. In addition to clinics and primary care scheduling options, individuals can visit Bellin’s Fastlane drive-thru site for the quickest and most convenient way to get their flu shot this season. Community members can also visit any of the three Bellin Health FastCare clinics seven days a week as a walk-in. Flu information and a complete schedule of flu clinic offerings is available at bellinflufacts.org.
