ASHWAUBENON — Bellin Health’s XL Athletic Performance Center will hold a track and field clinic specifically designed for athletes trying to maintain their competitive edge during the pre-season.
The 2008 Pre-Season Track & Field Clinic will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 at Bellin’s XL Athletic Performance Center, 1630 Commanche Ave., Green Bay.
Olympic gold medalist and former University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse athlete Andrew Rock will lead a number of clinic sessions, offering instruction and advice, and sign autographs at the end of the event.
Participants will learn dynamic warm up routines, form running fundamentals, explosive strength training movements, flexibility and recovery protocols, and event specific techniques, among other things.
The clinic is open to athletes age 14 and older. It costs $30. Registration ends December 10. Coaches are admitted for free. Space is limited to 50 participants.
