GREEN BAY — Green Bay native Tony Shalhoub will be among the attendees at the 3rd annual Black Tie & Blue Jean Extravaganza hosted by The Bellin Foundation.
The one-of-a-kind event – in which participants are invited to mix and match formal and casual dress to create their attire for the evening – will be held from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at Oneida Golf and Country Club, 207 Country Club Road, Green Bay. Tickets to the public event are $75 per person or $150 per couple.
Shalhoub, of USA Network’s “Monk,” series, and Bellin Health spokesman and television actor Patrick Fabian, will lend their star power to the event.
Other attractions include live music from Kevin Van Ess and Talk of the Town, wine tasting, beer tasting and hors d’oeuvres.
The Black Tie & Blue Jean Extravaganza raises funds through event sponsorships, ticket sales, donations and a silent auction. This year’s event will benefit The Cancer Team at Bellin Health, the health system’s new oncology center, 1580 Commanche Ave., Green Bay, near Austin Straubel International Airport.
Bellin’s $11.5 million oncology center opened in spring of this year offering area cancer patients a local 32,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility designed to address patients’ needs during and after treatment. The facility eliminates the need for patients in Northeast Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to travel to university hospitals or larger cities to receive cancer care in one building.
