GREEN BAY — James Memmen, M.D., a board certified ophthalmologist, recently partnered with Bellin Health, giving the health system added expertise in eye care service.
Memmen, who has particular interest in cataract and glaucoma treatment, has practiced in his field for more than 20 years. His specialty procedures include all aspects of glaucoma care, including the latest surgical and laser interventions and comprehensive cataract and lens based refractive surgery.
Memmen earned his medical degree from the Rush Medical College in Chicago, Ill. He completed his residency at the Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Md. He performed his fellowship in glaucoma at John Hopkins Medical Institution in Baltimore, Md.
He is past president of both the Brown County Medical Society and the Wisconsin Academy of Ophthalmology and is a councilor for the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
His practices are at 1543 Park Place, Suite 400, in Green Bay and at 3232 N. Ballard Road, Suite 203, in Appleton.
Memmen is married and has three adult children. He enjoys boating, golf, reading and cooking.
