GREEN BAY — Bellin Health’s Personal Health Institute will offer a series of free community health presentations and several free screenings designed to keep participants better informed about key health care issues.
The health presentations, called Face to Face, are scheduled from May through November and will take place near Bellin’s FastCare clinics, located inside Manitowoc and Green Bay area Shopko stores – Bay Park Square, East Town Mall and Suamico. Topics range from stroke risk factors and safety in the summer, to heart health and smoking cessation.
“These presentations and the accompanying screenings offer interested members of the public an opportunity to really gauge their overall health as it relates to several key health areas,” said Pam Miller, Personal Health Institute. “The program is part of our continued effort to better serve the health needs of the community.”
Each event includes a 15-minute presentation by a Bellin health professional, followed immediately by a question-and-answer session. Related screenings – most free, some costing as little as $5 – will take place after the question-and-answer sessions.
The first Face to Face, scheduled from noon to 12:15 p.m., starts on Tuesday, May 6, near the FastCare clinic and pharmacy in the Shopko Store at the Bay Park Square Mall. The topic is stroke risk factors. A free blood pressure screening will be offered from 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m.
