ESCANABA — Bellin Health’s Escanaba-based clinic will open Tuesday, April 13.
Two local physicians and a physician’s assistant recently partnered with Bellin and are now accepting new patients at Bellin Health Family Medical Center-Escanaba.
The physicians, Tangerine Dupuis, MD; Elizabeth Wilson, DO; and Sandy Kraemer PA, will begin seeing patients at their new office at 3011 N. Lincoln Road, Escanaba.
“We have a strong desire to serve this community through high-quality, local health care,” said Dr. Dupuis. “Bellin is a leader in primary care medicine and will provide us with greater resources to care for patients and families in this community.”
Area residents are likely familiar with Bellin. The Green Bay-based health system has served the people of Northeast Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula for more than 100 years. In 2007, eight independent physicians from Iron Mountain, Kingsford and Norway joined the health system to form Bellin Health U.P. Primary Care.
“Our goal is to strengthen the level of health care services available to people living in the Upper Peninsula,” said George Kerwin, Bellin Health president and CEO. “We have a long-standing commitment to care in this region, and our services and values fit well with the residents in this area.”
Several features will now be available to area patients including telephone access to schedule appointments 24 hours a day, seven days a week; same day appointments; and a 24-hour community health line staffed by registered nurses who answer health-related questions and direct callers to appropriate care, as needed.
