Bellin prepares to honor area’s athletic standouts
Deadline for nominations is March 19
GREEN BAY — Bellin Health Sports Medicine will spotlight and celebrate area high school athletes and key contributors to athletic programs during the ninth annual Night of Champions Award Banquet.
The Night of Champions – scheduled to take place Sunday, May 16, in the Lambeau Field Atrium – honors individuals whose contributions to sports extend beyond athletic ability. The event focuses on athletes’ character, as well as physical abilities. It also offers an opportunity to examine commitment, academic achievements and community involvement, in addition to statistics and athletic feats.
The event begins with a reception at 5:30 p.m. Dinner is at 6 p.m., with the program starting at 7 p.m.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, March 19. Nominees must have had contact with Bellin Health, Bellin Health Sports Medicine or a Bellin Health partner to be eligible. For example, attending a school with a Bellin athletic trainer or seeing a physician from Bellin, Green Bay Orthopedics or Orthopaedic Associates of Green Bay.
The Night of Champions also honors the region’s top coaches, athletic directors and community supporters for guiding and supporting area athletes.
Award categories include Team of the Year, Coach of the Year, Athletic Director of the Year, Male Athlete of the Year and Female Athlete of the Year, among several others.
