IRON MOUNTAIN — Bellin Health U.P. Primary Care recently signed on as a presenting sponsor of the annual Pine Mountain Ski Jumping Tournament.
The 2010 ski jump tournament will be held Friday, Jan. 29 through Sunday, Jan. 31 at Pine Mountain in Iron Mountain, Mich.
The event draws local and global competitors – jumpers from Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden are scheduled to compete.
Bellin’s sponsorship will help fund the event, as well as continue the health system’s traditional efforts to extend goodwill to its Upper Peninsula friends and neighbors.
In 2007, the Green Bay-based health system welcomed seven long-time, independent area physicians and one nurse practitioner to its fold to form Bellin Health U.P. Primary Care.
“The ski jump is a significant international event, but it’s also very important for the local community,” said Jill Broman, regional manager for Bellin’s five primary care clinics located in Iron Mountain, Norway and Kingsford. “We are proud to be a part of this event and happy to lend our support.”
The Pine Mountain Ski Jump is one of the highest artificially-created ski jumps in the world. It is part of the Kiwanis Ski Club.
