BELLEVUE — Dr. Connie Boerst, vice president of Academic Affairs/associate professor of Nursing, has been named interim president of Bellin College.
Boerst will assume the interim position on July 1. She replaces Dr. V. Jane Muhl who will retire at the end of June.
Boerst’s extensive credentials, educational background and overall level of expertise position her as the best candidate for the interim appointment, according to Bellin College Board of Trustees chairman, Tom Prust.
“The Board is confident in Dr. Boerst’s ability to manage and lead the college as an interim president,” Prust said. “Her 21 years of experience at Bellin College coupled with her professional expertise and familiarity with the college made her the top candidate to lead the college on an interim basis. We will, however, continue our national search for a presidential successor.”
Boerst is a graduate of the Bellin College of Nursing. She earned a master’s degree in Nursing Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Boerst earned a Doctor of Higher Education Leadership degree, with specialization in Organizational Leadership, from Nova Southeastern University, North Miami Beach, Florida.
She has been a Bellin employee since 1990.
