IRON MOUNTAIN — Bellin Health is the presenting sponsor of the 73rd annual Pine Mountain Continental Cup Ski Jumping Competition.
The 2012 ski jump tournament will be held Saturday, Feb. 11 through Sunday, Feb. 12 at Pine Mountain in Iron Mountain, Mich.
The event draws local and global competitors – jumpers from Austria, Czech Republic, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Slovenia, Canada, Kazakhstan, Finland, Germany, Turkey and the United States are scheduled to compete.
The ski jump venue is one of the highest artificially-created ski jumps in the world. It is part of the Kiwanis Ski Club.
Bellin’s sponsorship will help fund the event, as well as continue the health system’s traditional efforts to extend goodwill to its Upper Peninsula friends and neighbors.
The health system broke ground in Iron Mountain last fall to mark the start of construction on its new Iron Mountain-based clinic. Construction on the clinic project is expected to be completed in spring.
Bellin serves patients in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and across Northeast Wisconsin. Construction of the Iron Mountain clinic will enable the health system to consolidate some of its area clinic practices.
