Bellin Health recently packed some muscle onto its sports training program when it teamed up with D1 Sports Training and former Green Bay Packers player, Ahman Green.
The new partnership is expected to take sports training to a new level for the greater Green Bay area.
D1 is known nationally as “The Place for the Athlete,” operating 17 locations in 12 states. The facilities are co-owned by pro athletes including current Packers players A.J. Hawk and Randall Cobb and other National Football League pros like Peyton Manning and Tim Tebow.
Bellin and Ahman Green, the Packers’ all-time leading rusher, joined forces to bring D1 Sports Training to Green Bay.
“We were impressed by D1’s philosophy of training both student-athletes and adults like Division I athletes,” said Mary Hiltunen, vice president, Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Services. “The organization’s training programs, high-energy atmosphere and motivating environment are making the transition from XL to D1 the perfect next step in the evolution of sports training for our clients.”
Set to open Monday, Oct. 1, D1 Green Bay will be located within the current XL facility at Bellin Health, 1630 Commanche Ave.
XL will continue training operations through September. Many familiar faces within the XL staff will work in similar roles with D1.
