Clinical Excellence
Bellin Health is the Primary Stroke Center as certified by Det Norske Vertas (DNV). The Bellin Inpatient Rehab Department is an aggressive health care provider committed to providing the high level of therapist and nursing excellence to help patients achieve their goal of regaining physical, mental, and emotional independence.
DNV has accredited Bellin as a Primary Stroke Center. Our achievement of certification signifies that the services we provide have the critical elements to achieve long-term success in improving outcomes. It is the best signal to your community that our quality care is effectively managed to meet the unique and specialized needs of stroke patients.
The DNV's Primary Stroke Center Certification program was developed in collaboration with the American Stroke Association. It is based on the Brain Attack Coalition's "Recommendations for the Establishment of Primary Stroke Centers."
Bellin Health’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit has also passed the survey given by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This survey examines programming and service offerings, as well as adherence to regulatory and patient safety standards. Bellin started a stroke support group in 2011 which continues to meet on a regular basis.
