Types of Exercise

Aerobic exercise doesn’t mean you have to join your wife’s or girlfriend’s aerobic class. Depending upon your lifestyle — and your ability to eliminate the wasted time that eats into your more important exercise schedule — there are actually some cool types of aerobic exercises that you can do:

  • Brisk walking
  • Jogging
  • Swimming
  • Cycling
  • Spinning
  • Rowing
  • Using an elliptical trainer
  • Jumping rope
  • High-intensity interval training

Keep in mind that we’re talking about heart-pumping exercise. That doesn’t mean reading a magazine while walking slowly on a treadmill or riding a stationary bike. You actually need to sweat.
