Meeting patients’ mental and emotional health needs is every bit as important as addressing their physical ones. As the only private, not-for-profit, free-standing psychiatric hospital in the community, Green Bay’s Bellin Psychiatric Center is uniquely positioned to provide the acute care patients need, when they need it.
Bellin Psychiatric Center is an 80-bed facility that offers mental health services for children, adolescents and adults — each in separate environments. Our compassionate team of experts provides short-term treatment that is focused on alleviating acute symptoms, and our high staff-to-patient ratio ensures every patient receives the time and attention he or she needs. The average length of stay at our facility is four days.
Emergency and inpatient psychiatric services are offered 24 hours a day. Individuals addressed for inpatient services meet admission criteria prior to a psychiatrist ordering admission. After admission, Bellin's expert team develops and implements an individualized treatment plan that helps patients cope with their crisis and cultivate strategies for improving overall mental and emotional health.
Bellin Psychiatric Center's inpatient hospital is one component of a robust mental and emotional health program that includes providing outpatient services throughout Northeast Wisconsin and into Upper Michigan. Services include psychological testing; mental health assessments; individual, couples and family therapy; addiction services; and employee assistance program services.
