There are many types of rheumatic diseases that affect your joints, tendons, ligaments, bones, and muscles. Included in this group of disease, sometimes referred to as musculoskeletal disease, is arthritis, a term used for many types of conditions that affect your joints.
Common symptoms of arthritis are:

- Inflammation, including swelling, redness, and warmth in a joint or affected area
Bellin Health’s Rheumatology team consists of fellowship-trained physicians, nurses, and support staff who will assist you on your path from diagnosis to management. Our team cares for individuals with musculoskeletal diseases, including arthritis, connective tissue diseases, vasculitis, and other diseases of the bones and joints. The team utilizes the latest innovative techniques and partners with a state-of-the-art infusion center to care for our patients.

Our Providers
Dr. Taraneh Mehrani comes to Bellin with more than 15 years of experience. She completed her residency at the University of Maryland in Internal Medicine. After residency she went on to the University of California for her fellowship in Rheumatology. For the last few years she has worked as a Locum with Ascension Health in Milwaukee. She enjoys spending time with her family and is excited to join our Bellin Team.
Dr. Shefali Majmudar completed her medical degree at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and residency in internal medicine at SUNY Stony Brook University and NYU Winthrop University Hospital. She specialized in rheumatology and completed her fellowship at Boston University and Roger Williams Medical Center. Dr. Shefali Majmudar brings more than 18 years of experience to our patients. Shefali Majmudar and her husband live in sunny Florida and are looking forward to a snow covered Christmas this year.
