Meet Our Team
Your Prepare provider may be a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant. They’ll help make sure you’re as medically safe as possible to have surgery. They’ll order any additional testing and refer you for specialty care, if needed, and communicate their findings with your surgeon and primary care provider.
The nurse navigator is here to help navigate you through your surgical journey. Think of them as your guide. You’ll meet your nurse navigator in the Prepare clinic.
If needed, a physical therapist will see you before surgery to teach you and your support person how to use any devices to help you walk or manage stairs. They may also provide simple strength exercises for pre- and post-surgery.
We also have a case manager available before surgery. They can help you plan your safe discharge home, coordinate any community resources and services you might need, file paperwork like an Advance Directive or Power of Attorney, and address any financial concerns you might have.
If you have weight management needs, our dietitian can meet with you to set individual goals before surgery.
