Invasive breast cancer refers to cancer that spreads outside the breast and into other parts of the body.
In situ cancer sometimes called DCIS or LCIS. This type of cancer is confined to the ducts or lobules and does not typically spread to the surrounding breast tissue or other parts of the body.
Inflammatory breast cancer causes the breast to appear red and swollen, and feel warm. The skin of the breast may also have a pitted appearance like orange skin.
Paget's Disease of the breast is a rare form of cancer that begins in the breast ducts and spreads to the skin of the nipple and areola, which may result in irritated skin in these areas.
Metastatic breast cancer is cancer that has spread to other parts of your body.
Recurrent breast cancer is cancer that has returned after you have been treated for breast cancer. This type of breast cancer may come back in the breast, chest wall or in other parts of your body.
