Fertility Treatment

Even if you haven’t conceived after months of trying, you aren’t necessarily infertile. More than 95 percent of couples in fertility treatment don’t require IVF. Our specialists work to find the cause of your problems—whether they’re hormonal issues, sperm issues, reproductive health issues or simply having intercourse at the wrong times—and address them right away. This could mean IVF, intrauterine insemination or use of a gestational carrier. Or it could mean a consultation with our fertility coordinator to develop a plan for a successful natural conception.

When to contact our fertility coordinator:

  • If you haven’t conceived after a year of unprotected intercourse (if you’re 35 or younger) or six months (if you’re over 35)
  • Irregular or absent periods
  • Two or more miscarriages
  • Endometriosis or painful menstruation
  • Pain with intercourse, or other pelvic pain
  • Breast discharge
  • Excessive acne or hirsutism (male-pattern hair growth in women)
  • Prior use of contraception, and no menstruation since
  • History of sexually transmitted disease
  • History of pelvic inflammatory infection (PID)
  • Previous pelvic surgery
  • Reversal of surgical sterilization
  • Chronic medical condition (e.g., diabetes, high blood pressure)
  • History of chemotherapy or radiation therapy
